Rarely will I ever do anything on here that is just to write about what is going on or has happened outside of challenges. I am writing this only to express a heartfelt Thank You to the many people, family and friends alike, who wished me a Happy Birthday today.
I had to work this morning, having to go in a 5 am to a store for training, which was over 45 minutes from where I live. That meant I had to get up ALOT earlier than normal. Long story short, the training was a joke and I was back at my store by 9 am. The few people at work that knew it was my birthday made sure to tell me to have a happy one. However, I lost one of my best workers today as his day of retirement was today. This was depressing but at the same time I am happy for him. He earned the retirement.
My family called over the course of the day, with my mother calling last at around 9pm. It was good to hear from them... for the most part...lol.
But, truth be told, I enjoyed my day the most just having Robin with me. I did not want anything special except that and our two dogs. I really needed the day with MY family at home. It is at the time we spend with one another that my days are brighter and my life is at its best.
And having Robin tell me "Happy Birthday"...
...that made my birthday special.
